Actually, we live in a democracy, so there's lots we can do about it...
By statute:
Some or all your constituents could make complaints about you & allege that you're unfit for office & you could be de-posed that way. (Parliamentary Commissioner)
Your party can make a motion for a vote of no confidence & force you to leave office.
The electorate could vote out your party at local elections & bi-elections…making your continuation in office untenable.
Public Opinion
The media may start a public campaign & effectively force you to resign by calling for your resignation.
Legal public demonstrations raising public opinion awareness of their dissatisfaction with you as an MP, Leader of the House & Leader of your Party & turning public opinion against you leading to all the options by Statue to oppose you.
A revolution
Just because its never happened…don't mean its not constitutionally possible!
Its only the apathy of the masses that means we as a society put up with things we don't like because collectively we do have a voice-the system is designed that way. However, apathy of the masses is the weapon of the elite  |
