The one local to me isn't a patch on the East London ones. Our best one shut down and I have to go to Romford.

Chicken and mash here, although I don't get to eat the mash (on low carbs) but I'm making it.

Got to have a bit of milk, lots of butter, salt and pepper added cheese if feeling decadent. And served up with lots of gravy.

There's one in grand central new street station on the upper tier, as you go up the ramp past McDonald's start walking round to the right and you can't miss it, it's got those old fashioned pie and mash shop tiles all over the place

Lots of talk about pie and mash, but nobody has mentioned the best bit, it's gotta be smothered in liquor, with plenty of vinegar.

My Grandad was from Dover, he loved Jellied Eels.

Take a large cauliflower cut it up and place it in a saucepan with half a cup of water...steam it for 15 minutes, transfer it to a blender and add salt and pepper and butter and blitz

Can't stand Pie and Mash, there's a shop in Debden which my work colleagues say is brilliant.

Been there 4 times, the pie is God awful, the mush is jucky and the liquor just tastes like salted water.

I'm the only one out of 5 of us that can't stand the place or the food, so happy to admit it may just be me, but if I never step foot into a Pie and Mash shop again I'd be a happy man

What in seven hells is this liquor you southerners speak of? Surely you don't pour alcohol on your pie and mash? Sadists
