not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

And very annoying,

Y

My mum who's disabled has a lightweight walking frame which is wheeled has a seat and brakes. Good bit of kit , so I called yesterday to cook her evening meal and she tells me the handle is loose, after looking the brake cable has snapped, I ring the manufacturer out of stock until June 21st, I've been ringing other mobility shops and they won't sell me the part they'll only repair,

So while it's away mum has no way of getting about to the toilet or other things..

*ucking sell me the part I'm not useless it's not difficult to fit.

My irk of today..

Loughborough

Go to a decent old fashioned bicycle shop.

They make up cables all the time.

Or buy a bicycle cable and adapt to fit it yourself.

Easy and quick!

Ask the manufacturer for details of the local stockist

If they can supply for another month ask them what they recommend for your mum to get around.

Our local Red Cross lend out items like the walker so you could try them to see if you could borrow one until you have the other mended.

They suggested ringing the local mobility shops, they've got the parts they want to repair the thing I can understand why they've a guy employed and they want to keep him earning his keep, it's very inconvenient as mum can't get about if the wheels are away..

Bike shop maybe an option.

North Bristol

I second the bike shop idea. Not sure of the fitting (Road and mtb are different) but once you have the right one it'd be easy to fit.

I'd offer to pop round and fix it but you're ferkin miles away!

Even if the shop is hella busy they should be able to take 2 minutes to advise and sell you the part.
