The 1989 version of Woman in Black is pretty terrifying, and tbf so is the new(ish) Hammer version.

I've not watched it for ages, but I seem to remember Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte being scary.

it was made of tv, I used to have it on video - funny feeling that there is a rights issue with dvdvd release...

It's not as psychological as the Hammer one but it always spooked the fuck out of me. It's less dark, and well lit terror is so much more appealing/pantwettingly real

I watched a film years ago but cant remember the name where the baby sitter kept getting weird phone calls so she calls the police who say they will trace the call,they trace the next call and say it comming from inside the house!!!
