I haven't pulled a sicky, but my son is home from school unwell. Having a blast from the past for him- love doing that with my kids, you know, things I done when I was younger, things I liked, saw, heard etc!

I'm actually showing him that classic thriller series "V", from the very beginning! I loved it when I first saw it ( at around his age). Those that would remember it will know it amassed to over 6 or 7 hours altogether (with the original mini-series and "The Final Battle"). He's only seen a couple of hours and he is absolutely loving it!

I'm on long term sick anyway and will be until mid summer at least so i am lucky (sort of) that the weather is gorgeous.

I might even include my mile physio walk in with a walk to the pub for lunch

To be honest i would actually prefer to have been pain free and with proper mobility for the last 5 years and be working than live how i have been !

If I'm ill I'll be off but I never tried to scam my employers.

Unlike lots of other people and that's part of the reason I went self employed. No point working harder than the others for the same pay

I worked with someone years ago who added her SSP days to her annual leave entitlement
