Was recently asked a question by a female; she said" I have been told I am thick, Do you think I'm thick?"
Was watching TV at time looked at her and replied " yes, I do" oops looks could kill |

same here....often get friends asking for my opinion on things as I'll answer honestly and straight....

Depends on the context...? I know loads of people who maybe just like the attention of asking and going through a drama. They'll want to hear "it's not your fault", "it'll be ok" type of support etc when in reality some honest straight talking and help to avoid repeat issues are much more valuable.
If that makes sense ?! |

Not entirely by accident; but a colleague from Head Office memorably asked "Do people think I'm a bit of a dick?" I gave a straight answer to a straight question.  |

When i was 15 i used a fake id to buy cigarettes, the shopkeeper used to keep a list of people he had seen id from.....i went there nearly everyday and gave my fake name....all was good until one day a new person started she asked for my name...i gave her my real one by mistake, she then called the manager who recognised me as someone else for last few months.....i left red faced to say the least, still wont go in that shop nearly 19 years later! |

silence is better than a lie.as is avoiding the question in the first place.i dont lie, i dont see the need to lie when i can be quiet or say its not up for discussion. if confronted ill walk or tell the truth..they asked for it. |

My middle daugher like that
She's brutally honest and don't seem to have any sense of appropriate, she can be quite hurtful in her honestly too
On the up side if she says you look nice you know you do because she wouldn't never say anything nice about you just to make you feel good |

Hate lying, would rather not say anything, teach my kids to tell the truth about everything even if theyve been bad then they get told off but if they lie then they get a worse punishment like loss of gadgets |
