Has died, he was only 56. Keeps me awake on a motorway journey looking out for the lorry names

It's Eddie's son that's died. Apparently he's suffered from heart trouble for a while.

It was the son Edward, who took over that has died. Eddie Stobart is alive and well and in his 80s.

ok, im well confused now. Someone called eddie stobart who may at one time or another have something to do with stobart lorries has died.

Think i need a sleep now.

Eddie Stobart (snr) started the company - still alive

Edward Stobart (jnr) took over as managing director - died this morning

Willam Stobart (son of snr/brother of jnr) now runs the company.

You with it now????

i have to confess i saw the recent series about the company. it was very interesting.

I am just not ready to camp out at one of the depots to take pics of his girls and log reg plates etc.

God rest his soul.
