Do we? 
I get moaned at all the time for not answering my phone or replying to text, I don't take it out with me all the time, people moan at me for that as well, apparently there's no point having a mobile if your going to go out and leave it at home |

(Mr N) I've learnt to be much more punctual with my responses. A lot of my work is done by email/messaging now so I can't afford not to be good at quick response |

I'm rubbish at replying to texts 
I read them intending to reply but forget - and then people see I've read them and think I'm ignoring them - sigh!
I miss phone calls!

Yes what's the point lol a phone is something we need you to have to contact you my mom always says it how am i ment to contact you what if something bad happened all hell will break loose if i don't take mine out yet she don't even takr hers out with her |

I'm always going to message you back so if you send me one the first thing i do when i come on is look at how many messages I've got and then start reading and replying back try to keep on top of my messages |

I don't think it's divided by sex - it's divided by person. You just have to get used to how different individals communicate and addapt appropriately (or don't adapt and only deal with peole whose communication style you like).
Personally, the amount of time I take to reply depends on who I'm talking to and how much I have to think about my answer. |

I'm the same. I just treat my mobile as a useful too that could be handy, rather than an essential item. And I'm pretty slow with emails, fab messages and most stuff shot my way.

not here as the response time is mixed but the thing that annoys me is when kids text and ask a question that seems a matter of urgency but that requires more info - you reply straight away so that you can carry on and assist them and they never reply - the phone must still be in their hands sheesh  |

It depends on the context of the mesasage.
If someone is asking me a question & I'm unsure if I want to do something / or have to reply it will take me ages to reply.
Also iMessage can sometimes go to my iPad instead of my phone so I don't see it for ages! |

I don't reply to texts right away. I work for a living and don't live with a phone in my hand.
The only time I might answer right away is on a day off or similar when my phone is in my bag or near to where im sitting.
People who answer right away are usually the ones who have their phone by them 24/7 and have nothing to stop them using it. |
