We will both happily help others in day to day life and told many times on here we sound like a very nice couple as take time to respond to all messages even if of little interest to us but that's just us I suppose

We're both fantastically nice. We both donate our time to a local kitty shelter, helping out.

As a photographer, I help out local charity events with coverage.

One of the most recent examples of this was the other week at a festival my friends boyfriend was a bit wasted and crawled into my tent instead of hers and tried to get in my sleeping bag with me but rather than kick him out i left him to sleep in my tent and i went to sleep outside

My last good deed was was to invite a homeless guy who sleeps rough a few streets away back to mine so he could have a shower and wash his clothes and a bite to eat and book him a room in a local hotel for the night so he could have at least a decent nights sleep.

Was a shoulder to cry last week for someone at work who had been going through a rough time. She opened up and revealed quite a bit about herself which I wasnt expected but felt pleased I was able to make her feel better...thats my good deed for the week!

But what is a nice person? My Nan was a nice person she absolutely oozed love and was calm and she was a matron on a cardiology ward and then a palliative care nurse. She hid the fact that she was dying from fibrosis of the lungs and age 72 came to live with me for 6 months when I first had my baby and looked after both of us. That's a nice person, me I'm nice to my own and wouldn't go out and do harm to anyone but like my sister says to me I'm cold cos I don't cry at RSPCA adverts and when the adverts come on for starving kids in Africa. I'd like to think I'm a nice person but I dunno if I am. I do cry at stuff but usually my own problems, I have empathy for people but I dunno, think I'd have to be in a crisis to see if there's real goodness inside me!

My friends have a running joke that I've got a heart of stone because I don't cry at weddings, funerals, babies or anything on the tv.

Another example here, my sister again, had pjs on and wet hair, asked me if I would go and get her cookie dough in asda and gave me a fiver. It was on offer for £2.49 so instead of giving her change I bought chocolate fudge brownie for myself and just let her assume it was full price!

I am nice and I have been told it is to a fault.

If I lend money I never expect it back.

I have given free taxi rides to lost or stranded people.

I ask myself the same question before I do anything, (how does this affect other people and my wish is that we leave the world in a better condition than we found it.

I wish I cared less and was a little less sensitive to the issues of this world, but I am not so I will continue to do my best.

People are completely complex but in my honest opinion, if someone can't be polite to streetsweepers,toilet cleaners, waiters and watresses then I do not want to know them.

I disagree entirely op - I think most people are nice - it's just that the ones who aren't (ie thieves, violent people, those who are deliberately unkind or unpleasant) sadly seem to make a much bigger impact!

If ten people gave an old lady a lift home with her shopping and one person mugged her - only the mugging would get in the papers/get talked about! Xx
