My mates dear old mom has come to stay with him and his family.
After being here a few days, the old dear said she was bored and wanted something to do, so mates wife said, "you can do the ironing if you want, it'll help me loads"
Anyway, mom gets stuck in, does the ironing and a few "repairs" too 
Then the fun started 
One of the teenage kids recently bought 2 pairs of distressed designer jeans. Granny came across them while doing the ironing and decided she'd do the boy a favour.
She closely examined them and decided one pair was "too far gone" and promptly cut them up and used them to patch the other pair
My mate said his lad was nearly crying when he saw nearly £100 worth of jeans after his gran had "sorted" them out.

Back in the 80`S - brother had a pair - and old aunty tried for 2 hrs to Iron the "damn-crease" out of the middle of them lol..
