Can't believe the writer of Only Fools and Horses has passed away. One of the comedy greats.

Very sad.

RIP indeed

I didn't really like Only Fools and Horses, but this guy also wrote Citizen Smith, Just Good Friends, and Dear John (with the late great Ralph Bates)

Classic comedy talent, sadly missed

I can always rely on Only fools to make me laugh when I'm feeling a bit down.

He's left behind a great legacy of fantastic comedy.

Also, made me cry sometimes, like at the end of Rodney's wedding, when Cassandra lost the baby and grandads funeral. How a comedy program can make you feel so sad, then make you laugh so hard is pure talent! RIP
