Fog

It wreaths the trees with dimming light

It muffles sound

It dulls the sight

Brings cold and chill

The constant drip

Smoke without fire yet has no smell

The beast abroad but who can tell

A dragon’s breath but has no heat

Of swirling ghosts

A phantoms touch

In tombs I lays

In caves it hides

On autumns heels it follows

From arctic chill its strength it borrows

Within its shroud can evil hide

The stalking thief

The stabbing knife

But yet when the dawning sun arises

The ghosts they flee

The phantoms fade

The leaves and ground are wreathed in silk

A thousand threads

Each one with gems

A million gossamer diamonds

A myriad of spider’s pearls

That glow with growing silver light

And banish fear in to the night

Crisp autumn morning

Fog bannished by the sunshine

Let's go leaf-shushing!

Send that sunshine my way please, still misty here.

Love leaf-shushing, great name for it. Used to love walking through Virginia Waters in Autumn. Not bloody car at the moment so i cannot get there this year.

All my own work. I dabble now and then in poetry, short stories and write terrible electronica and dance music (computer only, lol).

I have written one novel, dragons and wizards stuff and self published it, hell i have even sold a few coipes.

That's brilliant.

You have a talent.

I write too.

Nothing sold yet.
