If you crack the screen, Apple will fuck you over when it comes to fixing it, and charge you for repairs they say they've done on top of the one you went in to get fixed, just gunna leave that with you....

Very true We're Samsung ( therefore Android) friendly basically because the phone itself is more physically robust. Seldom see a broken screen on a samsung but nearly every Iphone I see as had or has got a crack/screen problem. Plus the updates seem better thought out and tested.

If you need a phone or a computer you should first make a list of what you want to do with it.

then you can find the models that achieve your needs, and can start sifting through price and looks.

Definitely Android. Avoid Samsungs though, overated and overpriced. Go for HTC or Huawei, much better brands.

I android simply for the ease of use, and not been tied to certain products

L is massive apple fan, despite time and time again been proven wrong about how much easier android is to use

Visit the phone shop and fiddle with the lot, especially aim to set of the anti shoplift alarms repeatedly while looking sheepish.

I've had two iPhones and in the new year I'm swapping to android!!!

Apple basically own you and all your stuff. If you don't have the most up to date phone then you can't update without sucking up all your memory and then you can't use the phone!!! Absolute crap in my opinion.

Roll on the new year!!!

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

My little ladies have iPhones ... I've a standing order with the repair shop for screens they like them...

I use a HTC android I like that..

You pays your money you makes your choice ..well you do with android.

See which system you prefer op.. the opinions of others likes and dislikes doesn't mean you'll like that system.

If you definitely don't want to be able to customise your phone to your own needs very much (without Jailbreaking), then get an iPhone.

If you you, then get an Android...though saying that, you can just use any old Android phone as it comes too.

Android...you are not tied to Apple for apps...and they don't make sneaky changes like plug fittings so you have to buy overpriced replacement chargers etc

I'm quite happy with iPhones. I've just got a 7, there's not a massive amount of difference from the 6 - the camera is a bit better and the battery life is better. But I thought the 6 was much better than the 5. I do feel like I'm a bit "stuck" with apple because I've got used to the iOS interface and everything else I've tried has seemed complicated and unwieldy in comparison.

As someone who looks after loads of phones at work personally I like the Samsungs .... S6 Edge and Edge plus are great and should be a little cheaper than the S7 ....

I have an iPhone 4s. It makes phone calls and sends texts, very occasionally I use it to take a photo of a serial number or something, and I use the torch app quite often. Mainly I use the 40gb music stored on it to play through my Bluetooth headphones in the workshop. Sometimes I look at this forum on it. but mostly I use a Samsung tablet for wandering about Internet, phone screens are too small if you want one to fit in your pocket...

it cost nothing to buy, I put £10 a month credit on it, and it has never broken. Other than that, it's a phone, it rings when someone wants to talk.

i'm still using an iphone 4s as well.

it works just fine for all my needs. i got the 16gb memory coz i wanted to fair few apps and to be able to update it without deleting everything (which happened with my 8gb phone). i could reupload the stuff after the update easy enough but i'd rather not have the slight hassle of doing that.

you don't need to crack an iphone to not to have pay for music and that but it's not as easy as just downloading it to your phone, you need a pc/laptop as well. no idea if androids are the same?

Always had iPhone, currently on 7 plus, family on Samsung both good. I'd avoid Samsung 6 tho as iPhone and Samsung 7 both have some level of waterproofing. As for breaking them get s decent case, one that has a small lip around front.

You get used to operating system, not much to choose between the two these days. Depends what you prefer and what you want to do with it.
