Mixed emotions for me.I like the idea of good will and being happy with family and loved ones, but hate the commercial farce and competition it's become.

If I had to choose ide press it and glue it down as you don't need a season to be happy and thoughtful, you can do that everyday.

I love, love, LOVE Christmas.

Was at Westfield with my pregnant daughter yesterday, shopping and enjoying the Christmas vibe. I'll miss not having all my children around me as they have families of their own. They can't stand my other half and he loathes Christmas.

I'm full of the Christmas cheer for everybody...*hums*...deck the halls in sprigs of holly...

I used to love our works Christmas dinner. All the faculty and non-teaching staff sat down together eating a 3 course Christmas dinner, cooked by some of the staff.

Absolutely not...I love Christmas and so do my kids! It doesn't have to be commercialised, overpriced and OTT - we still do all the simple things like home-made decorations, family board games, baking together, midnight Mass and a long walk on Boxing Day.

I've been buying presents all year and saving up vouchers and loyalty points, so mine should be stress free and relaxing

Celebrate midwinter... celebrate that the days will start stretching...celebrate that you survived another year...celebrate the "plenty"; remember those you lost, remember the good times and the bad times, be with people. Glory in being human, and for just a short time, forget the trials and tribulations....

Eat

Drink &

Be Merry

Nope, that would ruin it for everybody that loves it or celebrates the religious connotations.

Some years I 'do' Christmas, some I don't but it's always only ever been about family for us, even my Jewish son.

Even if I hated Christmas, I wouldn't press it.

So many people like it - massive excitement for kids, an excuse for people to meet who rarely do etc.

So, no I wouldn't go near the button.

It's not all about kids. I don't have children. I still decorate my house and take advantage of being able to spend some time with family and friends who I wouldn't normally be able to see. If you've made it all about expensive presents for the kids and nothing else, that's on your head. All the moaning about commercialism and the "meaning" being lost, well you don't have to participate in that, no one is forcing you. Go to church, volunteer, celebrate it or don't in whatever way you want, I just don't understand the need for so many miserable sods to piss all over everyone else's Christmas.

Gotta be honest I'd be tempted right up untill Xmas eve. The stress of traffic, shopping and ppl on Facebook showing pictures of their tree's as early as October OMG, but then Christmas Eve comes, our kids and grand kids turn up and the thought of J in her sexy Santa suit for my first present of the morning makes it worth while. Plus she's said she's gonna wear it to one of my male friends she's fancied for a while over Xmas. Ho ho ho.
