Ouch, sounds hard. Mrs did shift work for 3 years and we struggled with it.
And yes I've had insomnia since I was a teenager. |

Sounds like the same club I'm in although don't do shift work...I'm lucky if I can sleep 4 hours at a time. I can be falling asleep in the evening and if I try an early.night say 10.00 I'm. Up and awake by 2 generally.. |

Does that happen a lot? When that happens to me it's usually an anxiety thing. |

Happens all the time..existed for years on about 4 hours a night...not really anxious about anything..and worse if I do manage to get back to sleep wake up after maybe another hour and have a pounding head ache all day |

Ah OK, do you manage to function OK on 4 hours sleep? Have heard of research into this and with some people it's possibly genetic. |

Yeah no problem functioning all day everyday....only time it's effected me was when driving felt drowsy so pulled over had a 20 minute nap and felt fine so carried on and was good..if I'm really tired can have a nap anytime of day just lay down close my eyes an hour 2 max later feel great .my ex put it down to be hyper active never able to sit down and veg much |

That is interesting, have encountered people like yourself before.
I have bouts of insomnia but struggle to function properly with less than 7 hours. I'm envious lol. |
