Was just recovering from fairly major chest surgery. Subsequently lost my job, split from the mrs, tackled depression and now looking at life in a totally differeent way! And having a gooooooood time in the process! |

its a fact of life knockers. we always remember the downs more and worry about the little things.
at times just carrying on day to day can be a struggle but you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself down.
your better than that. much better xx |

Cant remember what i was doing last week let alone last year.
As for remembering the negative things you need to change your thought pattern. I have also found by putting closure to things and moving on to the next chapter of my life helps |

im not down at the moment but its certainly a roller coaster.
life changes so fast, i forget to take time out and reflect on past events. i dont want my life to become a habbit and routine, i want to do spontaneous things and make it exciting.
im still very young in the grand scheme of life but ive grown as a person within the past two years especially, emotionally and physically
if i had a glass id make a toast to experience and the future |

agree with closure and moving on. i suffer with short term memory loss as part of a medical condition but it just frustrates me that negative events stick out more than others. |

I met and I got engaged, moved in with my ex, married and had a baby all in 14 months. That was a big thing. No matter what age we are we are always going to experience new things, at your age its likely to be births of babys at my age grandchildren or saddly deaths of close people. Life is a roller coaster. It can be manic for a few years then calm down or all the wildness when your young then calm as you get older. My life has certainly been turbulant but as you get older you cope with changes better (I think) because you become used to adjusting |

Agreed! At my age I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning, let alone what I was doing last year!
I don't think it's healthy memorialising break ups etc, you tend to live in the past and develop "issues!" |

perhaps you could ellaborate for those of us (me) who dont quite understand the concept.... in relation to a human that is... what does that mean to you and him and you as a couple? Does it just refer to swinging or your relationship in general. Sorry, feel in the dark on this subject and find it quite intreaguing.

Making up for lost time with mr as he'd been away for a year after a serious accident. It was fun being on the receiving end of a years pent up sexual frustration!! |

I am owned... I gave up my rights to refuse my master anything. I accepted totally that master controlled me although at the point of ownership we still had a safe word and were not in A total power exchange relationship.... but we now are...... but to us as a couple... it meant a bond that's extremely strong... for us both it meant even more than our vows.
Master had never chosen to collar or own any other slaves. So I felt honored... and I knew it would change things.. but I never dreamed that it would bring me such happiness, contentment and joy... As I was happy already... but now its just so much better.
I accepted masters ownership.. run my barcode and it does come up with a certificate... now yes.. many argue its not legally binding but It's binding to us..
I am a possession... but highly prized and loved beyond all others... and my wellbeing is of paramount importantance to my master...
My last year has been a mix of learning about myself. Finding out more about our own wants and needs, and exploring sexually together... and learning just how hard but satisfying serving master can be.. I'm not naturally a submissive person and it can be hard for me... but I am lucky. Masters fair and patient and I'm rarely punished.. (mostly because I enjoy spanking to much.. unless its the crop.) I do have to obey, answer correctly... but I also am lucky as my master does not abuse the trust and position I have given him...
It is really like a wedding when you get your collar... or it was to us.. I will never have another master.. as I don't have a desire to serve, just to serve my master.
I don't expect everyone to understand the joys of feeling that your owned or that I'm in this because it makes me feel good, and secure and I'm loved and trusted... or that as an owned and collared slave I have to look to my master for permission for most things, unless It's child or house related.. yet in last year, I've become more organised, happier, less stressed and even my children notice the changes in my attitude.. so its all good.

Good for you!!! Takes a lot of guts to do that and I've seen so many people give up the fight to stand up to bullies and harassers. Three cheers for you. Ms |

Exactly one year ago we were two 'singles' who met through Fab and we are now one very happy couple. It's been a rollercoaster ride of a year with lots of changes but, like Katie, it's a wonderful feeling to find someone who makes you so happy and secure.
Sorry to anyone who's had a rough past 12 months - and hope the next 12 bring you fun & laughter... |

We were planning our July wedding and were taking a break from swinging. Thankfully that break wasn't for too long and we soon got back into the swing of things (pun not intended) |
