First off I'm not gay, nor do I have anything against people that are gay
I just thought I'd defend them by saying to the straight blokes out there that not every gay guy finds you attractive!
Sorry but my friend does this alot and it really fucks me off

I agree with you to an extent OP.
When I first told my best friend of 8 years that I'm bisexual she stopped sleeping over at my house, clothes shopping together no longer meant sharing a cubicle etc, she clearly felt uncomfortable that I was going to make a move on her.
We aren't friends any more.
A couple of my gay friends have experienced similar things with straight guys they work with or in their extended social circles, with little remarks made about not making bathroom visits together and things.
I think in some cases homophobia is based on the 'fear' that the non straight person may make unwanted sexual advances. Pretty sad really but I'd like to think it's not as common a problem as you suggest. |
