.... that makes you giggle in later life.
Wedding vows for example. They were written by a Geordie.. "I do solemnly declare... that I know not of... any lawful impediment... 'Why, I'
It never fails to hit my funny bone when I hear those words..
Also in school we learned the song "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" The next line is 'and furnish it with love'. As daft schoolkids we put the pause and emphasis on furni SHIT with love.
What play on words in songs poems etc... do you remember as a child that make you laugh still? |

I love taking songs and changing the lyrics into a swinging song. I can only do it whilst I listen to live music though. May be brilliant but can never remember the genius when I get in. Need to take some paper with me next time if I remember |

Not a childhood memory, but purely infantile behaviour: I sometimes travel into work with my friend and colleague. He's a JP and the two of us giggle like primary school kids when they announce the train for Effingham Junction!
I'm giggling now! |

"when me and my bestmate going into town. we go to the top floor of a 3 storey shopping complex, find a good vantage point and do what we call "boob watching"
i know, at our age its disgraceful "
Thats the only reason I go to the Trafford centre. |

oooh some good ones mee sassy and ems!!!! Giggling too!
Our least class in juniors was 4A and in one hymn (Praise to the Lord the Almighty) we sang the last line was
"Gladly 'for ay' we adore him".
Of course the whole of 4A almost shouted that line! |
