all talk, any action?

There are many instances when not so honest people collect and use the pictures of others.
there are also many instances where we see the "legal warning" at the bottom of peoples profiles.
So, has anyone ever actually follwoed through on the threat to prosecute, or is it actually just all talk and no action?

oh it does not bother us, anything rude has no face on, and anything with a face on has no rude on, so people can collect our pics if it flooats their boat lol
We just find it amusing that so many people put up a "warning" yet we know no instajce of it being follwoed through. |

Thats the point i am making!
People are making threats of severe legal comeback on their profiles, yet i am yet to see or hear of any instance where there HAS been anything done,, and am not even sure what action they COULD take even if they were wanting to follow through.
why threaten something that you can not or will not follow through? |

And usually those warnings are on profiles that demand discretion! So what are they gonna do? Take a person to court and reveal their identity? I don't think so...
Worthless warning, not worth the key strokes!
As for pictures? Not at all bothered! Someone wants to use them they will! If they are posting them on a picture site it is nice to know that someone is enjoying them. If they are using them for a profile? We would get it taken down, but they will be found out anyway.
We did find our pictures on a "display" site. Was annoyed at first, but then noticed that they were really well liked, still had them taken down, but was flattering lol |

I just think it is a bit odd, they make a threat "if you dare do this, i will respond with that" so someone goes ahead and does "this" and they respond with............... just leaving the same warning up.

yep, we are aware of that.
I am more interested in why people make threats that can not or will not follow though. Regardless of if it is aimed at sydney university or pervy pete who lives in the next town. |

Its a useless warning to have on a profile and it doesn't really scare anyone off does it. Though if on the way to work I saw my arse on a billboard offering trips to the moon, then I would instruct a solicitor  |
