When our youngest was a nipper he used to watch me groom our dog.
One day we caught him doing it himself, but he was brushing our pooch with a shoe brush which had black polish on it.
So our brown and white terrier became black, brown and white.
We've had the usual toast and biscuits in the video recorder like most people I'm sure, but our boys have always played outside so most of the mess and mayhem was made outdoors |

when my daughter was 2 somehow she got a tin of paint that was stored on a high shelf in the bathroom, we had just been decorating her bedroom, she carried on painting her new duvet and curtains and all the way down the stairs, when i caught her she looked up and smiled " im helping" she proudly said, i couldnt be cross! |

There is something that for the life of me I can't remember the name of that works magic on things like this.
When my two were little the eldest used baby oil to make the youngest hair shiny and gel like...couldn't get it out at all...then a friend gave me this little bottle that was used for other things and it worked first time to get it out.
If I remember the name I will be back ! |

29 years ago when I was pregnant with our first child we bought a Grundig tv and video: cost us a grand. The vcr's remote was attached: this was long before the days of infra red.
Any how my husband said you know, once the baby can crawl the vcr will be full of toys. Our daughter never crawled, started walking at nine months and nearly gave me heart attack!
Came home one afternoon to hear my husband laughing: silly man was sat there watching our daughter feed toys and rusks into the machine. He looked at me with such glee and said "look, look, told you she'd do that!"
He was still smiling when he paid £50 (a lot of money back then) to have it mended...silly sod! |

The worst mine ever did was to empty a tube of toothpaste onto the carpet trying to find where the stripe came from. They then tried to rub it into the carpet to hide the evidence. Needed a new carpet as I couldn't get it out. |
