"I like the bit where they get to a red man and they are waiting for the green man.
They do jogging on the spot
I'm not a jogger knocker by the way."
I saw one stop at the red man
For a pint |

That's my kind of running.
I hate running and I play sport every week, I must be like a dog. Chuck a ball into the equation and I'm fine with it. |

Or like a hat with a bag of mini eggs dangling on the front of it.
I'd be dribbling and panting all over the place.
They have gone on a proper holiday now by the way. 2017 the shittest summer ever. |

"I have, when they realise that one day I'm going to die of a fat related disease, and that they will live a longer happier life "
Not really. I remember reading that jogging adds one minute to your life for every minute you jog. But you're giving up that minute to be miserable jogging so you can get that minute back when you need a nurse to wipe your bottom for you.
Jim Fixx, creator of jogging, died at 52, while out jogging.
Other research found that people who didn't worry about dying lived longer.

I remember buying a 'walkman' years ago to give me some music when I ran, that didn't work as it made the artist sound d*unk and slurry.
Then a few years later a 'discman' but all that did was skip and you lost 5 seconds of music every few seconds.
At least with a phone the music dosent skip or warp |

"I used to "jog" and i'm pretty sure my jogging face could turn passers by to stone.
When I tried it I went puce and had to reach for an iron lung! Bet you did better than me! "
No. Undertakers used to follow me around, just in case |

I think if I started again my route would have to be worked out by proximity of community defib machines!
Either that or as Lightson mentions, we all slow down and stroll around the block! |

"I am not happy when jogging, it hurts and it is knackering .... but some idiot (me) signed up for a half marathon and I need to train "
Fair play mate. Think of the sense of achievement at the end, it's great. |

"Am I right? "
So true lol and where we live in a very little village every Sunday morning the committed cyclists go by, we are still grinning from our Saturday night out fun and they all look so miserable and in pain! Maybe they are smiling on the inside |

Something I'm planning to take up (if I can find a good enough support bandage for my knee!)
My daughters and I are planning to join a beginners running group in September - though my oldest daughter is already a seasoned runner! Xx |

Good effort, it's worth it. I've used running as a tool to lose 4 stone amongst other things. Get the endorphins pumping. |

"Runners run because they love to run. Joggers jog because cake"
Urgh.
That kind of internet nonsense is exactly what puts people off starting in the first place.
I jog because i can't yet sustain a run.
I jog because even though it hurts I've lost 4 stone.
I jog because my mental health is a million times better.
I jog because it's increased my sex drive and I've found my mojo. |

Ultimately it's for yourself. So if you feel all the positive you mention then keep it going. |

No **** Sherlock.
What I was trying to say was that 'runners' holier then though comments and attitudes are exactly what stopped me from starting in the first place.
If it wasn't for friends, parkrun and some fab support from people my insecure fat self wouldnt have seen the positive and could only hear snide comments.
