I only need them for reading writing and typing etc.... otherwise I tend to get my wocking murds fuddled up!!!  |

I have one eye that is short sighted, while the other is long sighted, and I wear glasses to balance them out, so that I do not strain one or the other.
I don't wear them when I go out, as I can see quite well without them.
However, I believe my glasses give me some kind of gravitas that I need in order to perform my work duties and responsibilities. In addition, they act as some kind of barrier between me and others.
I feel my defence is lowered when I do not wear them.
