A recent thread on whether people should or could expect a relationship off a site like this one made me think...apologies it took a few days... If somebody met somebody on a "normal" dating sit and they became swingers, that would be ok I guess. If two people met through a hobby like dancing or photography or whatever.. They could become a couple or a couple with benefits, swingers or whatever. The point I am making is this: while perhaps the general epectation on a swing site is not to find a life long partner.... It can happen. Likewise meeting via another site eg a sport partner site two people can become lovers or fuckbuddies... No worries there... So there is not really anything wrong with meeting a lifelong partner thru any site... Or is there? I am not intending to spark off a fight, just curious abt what makes this site different in that respect. For me it does not matter what everybody gets out of it.  |

Agree entirely. Met my OH through Facebook, became lovers, got engaged, joined Fabs, and now married. Couldn't be better!  |

it shouldn't matter where people meet.swingers site or not.
if they both fall for each other,they should give it a go,it could be a while before it happens again.
although,it's possibly outwith the rules of swinging,as it does seem to upset some.

Does it matter to who? Them? Apparently not, to me... nope I find myself unconcerned.
The only concern some would have is that a single on here may meet them but really be wanting more than they are prepared to give. |

if it is the post in question where the single guy met a fem then hid his profile,,,well im all for love n fate and all that,,thing is with that post it was sort of gloating he had a girlfriend and that they had now hid their profiles??
sorry but if i found my soul mate on a swingers site id wait till i least was married before i would be involved with swinging again as we all know this "hobby" is not for the faint hearted .

The guys i have met in this game are ok as long as i didnt involve anyone else in the "relationship"
Seems they want their cake and eat it too.
Could visit chams as long as i stayed with them the entire time....But they could do whatever once i was tucked safely in my bed. 
I do not and will not seek a relationship within the swinging community or anywhere else.

True, but to be specific, the flipside of it on here is quite often a nice fun female utterly put off by the whole idea and a single guy who put a lot of store in one singular meet becoming a peeved, "timewasters" "why is it" "why cant i" poster on the forums, is what i often see occur anyway. |

I truly believe that it is about an individual and what they make or dont make of the scene. There are som great swingers on here who have no difficulties in keeping sex and attachment separate... and then there are some, for probably good reasons, are looking for a relationship which is beyond swinging. I am saying that whatever people are looking for is ok... there are no hard and fast rules a sto where or how people meet and what happens to their relationship in the long term. Maybe I am being a tad naive though? |
