Ok, just a little something to give your indulgence over.
A couple of years ago i had just gone to bed, quite literally, when there was a knock on the door. Now you must bear in mind that it was a few minutes after two in the morning.
Anyway, having just settled into bed, there was a 'BANG, BANG' at the front door.'Who the hell?'....i thought. So off i trapes downstairs, opens the door, it's pissing it down with rain and there's a guy there.
'You couldn't give us a push, could you mate'?
'You're having a laugh, right'? I asked him.
'Nah, seriously mate, i saw that you'd just put your lights off so i kind of assumed that you'd only just gone to bed. You couldn't give us a push could you'?
'Come off it mate, it's two in the morning and it's pissing it down'. With that i shut the door and off he trudged.
I went back upstairs and my wife, having been disturbed by the commotion, asked who was at the door.
'Some bloke asking for me to give him a push' I told her.
'And did you?' she asked.
'Are you as mad as him....he can go and bollocks....it's two in the morning and it's pissing it down', i replied.
'Well some help you are. You'd do the same in his situation' she blurted.
'Not in the pissing down rain and certainly not at two in the morning, i wouldn't'! Bollocks to him, cheeky git' at which point i then got back into bed.
Just then wifey decides that 'well if you won't give him a push, then i will!'
Obviously now i'm thinking that to stop her then i'm going to have to do it myself. So out of bed i climb.....
.....'Stay there, i'll give him a bloody pushy, just stay there'......
....i wasn't, at all, happy about it but it was worth it just to shut her up.
So off i trapes down the stairs again, opens the front door and........???
What would you have done in the same situation?
I'll tell you what happened next shortly!
