Been asked by someone over there if I could bring some white roses with me

I think you might be able to but contacting the airline would be a wise move.

Personally I wouldn't want the hassle of cut flowers on an aircraft.

Not meeting

When we flew back from our holiday there were signs all over the airport about not taking plants & fliers. I had 20 rose heads in my suitcase (to make confetti) They didn't travel well & most went in the bin
