I found a few love thy neighbour dvds in my work when I was clearing out the cabinet with George n Mildred and Bread and Golden Girls etc. I'm not sure they will be still as funny x |

Rudolf Walker who played the non-white guy and later ended up in Eastenders wrote an article in the Sunday Telegraph a few years ago - saying the British need to get back their sense of humour and stop being so politically correct.
He and his family still watch “love thy neighbor” on a Sunday afternoon when he is in Tranadad and have a good old laugh. Both party’s give equal amount of name calling and it’s good banter.

I just don't think stuff like that has aged well like a great deal of comedy doesn't..especially if there's any political satire etc in there, much less of what was then funny is relevant today, much like much of today's comedy won't be funny to people in 20 or 30 years from now.
Time changes things. |
