Dawn choruses aren't what they were (unless you live deep in the heart of the countryside possibly). I can currently hear my next-door neighbour stirring in one ear and BBC news in the other

This morning I woke up to the sound of the kettle clicking off as it boiled and then a knock on my bedroom door as I was bought a cup of tea in bed. I wish! I hear nothing in the morning until I step outside my front door to be confronted with rush hour traffic and people slamming car doors as they hurry off to work. The joys of being hearing impaired lol; my flat is very peaceful. I can't hear any neighbours with their arguments or traffic until it is right in front of me
