Im going to be serious.
I would like to have had a rummage through all my grandma's old china ect before she started to throw bits out over the years.
My mum would always say when antiques roadshow was on or such like "oh your grandma had one of those" |

I like antique and secondhand furniture shops. its really exciting not knowing what's going to be there. I would never buy a new table or a cabinet as it would be really pricey, can't be doing with all that cheap chipboard furniture. I'd rather have a sturdy wooden secondhand table in good condition.  |

We could arrange an alternative 'Come Dine with Me'.
Called 'Come Root with Me' you need 5 willing forumites, 5 Saturday nights and 5 open houses to rummage around.
Cut the crap though - no meals, just an excuse to mingle, have a good old root and then a few drinkies.
Heaven only knows what we would find !
To work well though, the producers must insist on a 'no locked drawers policy'
Prize goes to the person with the most eye opening (or eye watering) selection of items ! |
