Theres only one thing that works and thats the fact you have got to want to do it.

You can cheat with the gastric band, you can cheat on anything. But they can also work well inconjunction to will power

Hypnotherapy does work i had a cousin who lost 4 stone but it did leave her depressed and she had an aversion to food.

Personally... Not unless you really want to lose the weight... It can only do so much... The rest is up to your willpower, lifestyle and habits.

Sort those out... Then go for therapy, which should work...

Good luck... You CAN do it...;-);-)

Eat less, move more.

It's all about how much you want to do it. I lost about three and a half stone last year and it was bloody hard work. I guess different things work for different people but hard work and determination will work above everything else.

I am a trained hypnotherapist and EFT specialist.

I got into hypnotherapy after I was hypnotised to stop smoking. The first time I tried hypnosis to stop smoking it did not work as the hypnotherapist was rubbish. The second worked brilliantly. It was amazing. It wasn’t like I was an ex smoker it was like I had never smoked in my life. For the second time I used hypnosis to stop smoking I made sure I done my research and got a hypnotherapist with a good reputation.

I also do EFT (emotional freedom technique). It is good for things weight loss, stopping smoking, fears and phobias, anxiety, allergies, depression, dyslexia, OCD, body pains, panic attacks, anger management, medical issues, PSTD, sports performance, worries, self belief and lots more besides.

I move away from hypnosis to EFT as I think it EFT is better. Also EFT can help with a lot more things than hypnosis can. Plus EFT is quick, painless and easy to do. I still do hypnosis on the odd occasion when the client requests it but 99% of my work is now EFT.

I have heard of people getting good results from gastric band hypnosis. You just have to make sure you get a good hypnotherapist and one who specialises in gastric band hypnosis. There are a lot of terrible hypnotherapists out there. Also never confuse price with how good somebody is. Just because one hypnotherapist charges £150 for a stop smoking session and another only charges £75 it does not mean the one charging £150 is better than the one charging £75. It simply means he or she charges more.

Personally I prefer EFT for weight loss as you tackle the underlying reasons/causes of your weight issues. With EFT weight loss is easy. Also saying slim is easy.

Gastric bands for adults is one thing but I read yesterday they are offering them to children as young as 11 that is so wrong.

Try weight watchers or slimming world...it is amazing how much support from others gives you the will power you need. i lost 4 stone and a year on its staying off.

Sometimes its what we eat and why,i can sit down to a massive plate of food now,but know its not going to pile on the pounds...dieting need not be about denial,im having egg and chips for tea...

A misconception about dieting is that you have to be miserable and only eat salad.

That is so far from the truth, if people saw what i ate they would never realize im on a diet.

I food optimize. I dont eat rubbish and i eat very little processed food. I also substitute. ie if im having a baked potato instead of butter on it i will put dairylea light on it.

I eat out lots but i go for options like fish and vegetables, steak or gammon that sort of thing.

Having so much to loose it was a lifestyle choice with me and i do it automatically now without thinking about it. This week ive felt fat and bloated all week but still lost 1/2lb which isnt much but still a chip in the right direction.

This is my motto

"The longest journey started with but a single step"

if u wanna shed some weight try a website like fitday.com.

u can set up a free account and add all u eat during the day. it`ll calculate ur calorie intake, aswell as fats/carbs/protein etc

so u can stick to ur pre-worked out plan which u can do on it aswell.

So true, which means people set themselves up for failure .They also have unrealistic expectations, one of the reasons a slimming club worked for me(i went to the red/green one )is that every single pound lost was deemed worthy of celebration...slow weight loss is weight loss you keep off!

And i have lost count of the number of people who hear/see me eating a full english for breakfast and insist you cant be on a diet eating that

I would start off with looking on the hypnotherapy register to make sure they are qualified. I would also go for word of mouth. So join hypnotherpapist and hypnosis forums and ask on there. You will get honest advice about who is good in your area. Most importantly do not be afraid to ask questions of any potential hypnotherapist you may choose. After all they want your business. Ask questions like how long have they been doing hypnotherapy, what is there success rate, will they do checks to make sure you are in trance etc.
