Does it frustrate you if someone has the wrong impression of you?
Do you try change their mind?
Does it make you question your actions and why they have interpreted things the way they have or do you just put it down to it being a difference of opinion?
Do you dismiss it as their issue not yours? |

In real life I would try to prove they had misunderstood me and got it all wrong, but on Fab I wouldn't really bother, unless it was someone I had met and really liked them, but otherwise people are strangers on an internet site so it doesn't matter.
And after all, I know I'm always right |

If someone got the wrong impression of what I said, I’d try to put it right.
If someone continues to get the wrong impression of me, what can I do but give up? I’ve not got long enough time to put their life right, when I’m trying to live mine. |

It all depends wether their opinion of me matters to me. If it was someone who meant something to me it would bother me and I would try to rectify it. If this could not be achieved I would be sad but I would have to move on for my own sake. If I wasn’t bothered about their opinion anyway then no. |

We can never change another's perception of us. It's a deep felt part of them.
So how do you get in someone's mind to do that?
Only they can change their view of me no matter how much I may sometimes wish it otherwise....

In any scenario people have got on with me or they haven't. My attitude is the way it is and shapes my personality.
Why would I change myself for a person?
They either accept me or they don't. |

I was assuming they got their impressions of me based on my behaviour or what I’d said so surely you can use the same means to change their impressions of you. Always assuming they are open minded enough to be able to change opinion, granted a lot of people aren’t and once they have an opinion that’s it so move on. |

Doesn’t bother me unless i like them.
I wouldn’t try and change their opinion.
I know that beneath my brisk and no nonsense exterior i’m actually a pussycat, and those who matter to me and know me, know that. |

My philosophy is: It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier. |

People do care what people think and say even if it’s just in a passing comment made on the internet or in person.
So many people hide behind the keyboard it’s unreal and in real life this shit wouldn’t happen.
Personally myself I have insecurities and I put on a brave front every little jibe has a lasting effect and I worry that people judge me without knowing the real me and I hate this about myself And wish I could have a don’t give a fuck attitude but I’m too easily controlled by my emotions to be this detached but this also makes me the person I am |

I deal with it everyday and often hide my profile on here to stop it.
If you are a tv on a swinging site that is active people make all sorts of assumptions about you.
I think its worth just talking and finding the ones that want to know y9u Better... Thats how i cope anyhow.. Some things can't be forced and some people will never chnage once they have made uo their mind. |

I hate when I think someone has the wrong impression of me. I’m quite bad at trying to undo that, but more often than not end up just digging myself a deeper hole, which probably just frustrates me even more. |

Diesnt bother me as I don't wear my heart on my sleeve and am quite guarded about who I am until I really get to know someone and feel I can safely let them in. |

Not at all, if someone has made up there mind on you that's there choice.
If they change it through your actions at a later date that's up to them.
But I can't forget what someone thought of me originally so that's an obstacle but again not my problem |

"How would anyone have the wrong impression of you if you're simply being yourself?
"
I probably meant more if someone misinterprets something I’ve said as much as anything else. And that would depend a lot on who they were.
If I’m being myself, I would be less bothered about people not getting me. |

Unfortunately, that's both the blessing and the curse of the written word.
A poem or song lyric can mean something unique to any given individual.
Alas when posting things on a public forum there's always one or two who will seek to twist what you say or do to find an appropriate amount of outrage or offence.
As long as you know what you meant and how it was intended, stand by your own values and integrity. |

I think it's a good thing that you care. See it as a positive not a negative. |
