I Read often that ladies and others (I've had one abusive message myself) receive abuse for various reasons..
I often read folk are on other dating sites apps etc..
Question ..
Do you suffer the same type or level or do you get any abuse on other sites you might be a member of ? |

I’m quite lucky, I don’t think I’ve had any direct abusive messages. I did have one guy bad mouthing me to others (alleging I was barebacking loads of women) because he was narked someone met me before him .. but other than that Fab has been relatively abuse free for me (to my face, anyway! God only knows what is said behind my back!) |

I’ve had abuse on here ranging from outright racism, to insults about my size, looks, and everything in between.
When I was on a dating site it was no different, a polite “No thanks but good luck in your search” would get me abuse and someone even going as far as to find me on Facebook to send me abuse via messenger there too!
All it does is verify that I was right to not meet them.  |

Think I had a few of those aggressors in my years of being on fab.
For eg.
When I say no, it means no, yet some people can't accept no as an answer.
Or when people don't believe me and make assumptions of their own and oooh gag me with a block.
On the whole it's not too bad.  |

I've probably had a handful of abusive messages at most.
I have had one female member badmouth me to her meets and potential meets. Going so far as showing them my face pic and making up extraordinary lies. |

I got a load of abuse and called fake a couple of weeks ago after turning down a meet with a local woman because my daughter was at home and asleep. I wouldn’t mind but I was polite about it and got 7 abusing replies before pressing the beloved block button |

Had a few on here at the start, fewer now as I’m more ruthless in how I handle rubbish, short messages from guys typing with one hand.
I’ve had it on the one dating site that I use when I shut down a rather leering approach from someone. |

On my original single female profile I had a run in with a strangely deranged lady who met somebody I met before me and decided to follow me from his and trash my car then badmouth me to anyone who had verified me. Police were involved

On my first week back I had 3 abusive messages, think it was because they assumed I was a newbie. All reported. Had 1 abusive message on pof when I was on there for not replying but never had abuse anywhere else |

I gave up dating sites. I got the usual crap from guys I'd declined.
but I think I get worse here. if I reply politely with a no thanks, then I'm a fat slag they didn't want anyway
if I ignore the initial message I get a second message telling me I'm being reported for not replying (yes this has just happened) |

I had one guy call me a slut for not sending him pussy pics..
And another guy because I hadn't had time to meet him (single mum of 3) he said it was people like me that are the reason people like him are single and that i would have a gaping cavern for a pussy... I tried to message back but he'd blocked me!  |

I get abuse on here, but it doesn't bother me. They are the ones who have an issue, usually jealousy fuelled or they are annoyed that I won't meet them, or I've met others and not them, or I've met someone that they have and can't handle it, all sorts of reasons. That is their problem and not mine.
I'm not on any other site to compare with. |

I had something similar. She is a complete weirdo! Started new male profiles to get around my filters to abuse me. All sorts of weird and wonderful stuff!!

Interestingly, I get a LOT more abusive messages on dating sites, and I always reply back to them using their own words but putting a reference to their mum in there. Amazing how many of them get offended about that. |

I've had a couple in 8 years, because the guys in question couldn't handle being told 'not interested'. Nowadays if I'm not interested I tend to block the sender before deleting their message. Sometimes they are silly enough to make new profiles to try and have another go but they soon get reported. |

Only a couple - a tranny in Worthing that I wasn't interested in and a chap in Northampton because I didnt want to meet him.
Neither bothered me one jot and in fact both made me laugh - but then I dont get many messages so had the time to laugh about them. |

A lot of incoming messages pass me by as in they get bulk deleted, so I might have had more than previously thought.
I’ve actually had more abusive messages from Facebook group pages / forums that I’ve joined in with than I can recal from here, although these are minimal. |

I’ve only had two unpleasant messages, and that was because they were knobbers.
I have found if i’m polite then i get politeness back. In fact all the men seem glad they even got a reply, regardless of the content.
Never had abuse on any other sites. |

Not exactly abusive, maybe arsey. I get that all day in my work and I’m pretty damn good at giving it back. I find it hard sometimes to not reply, which is what I want to do. But really they’re not worth my time. I block. I don’t delete, I leave the message, let’s my husband see it, it also helps fuck with their mind why I never deleted it but blocked them! |

From this small sample seems to be 'fab' is worse for abusive messages than the dating sites..
I see comments periodically that folk see the same folk on other dating sites( I'm on a couple of others )as well as this site and wondered if there was a correlation.
Twunts seems an appropriate word for all who send abuse.
Perhaps a more in depth study is needed where are our friends at Sydney university when you need them..

I have several unpleasant replies after saying no thanks to people. I seem to get a lot of grief if I tell people that I am not meeting at present due to family issues or health. Apparently at that point I should leave the site, as chatting and attending a club and getting to know people is timewasting and makes me a teasing whore. Who knew it |

Hahaha. I got this from someone who tried to add me on Facebook and sent me a message via messenger wanting a date.
I politely told him that even if he did go on to contact me on Fab (I checked me Look @ me and there he was) it would still be a big fat no.

Only had a very very few of what could even remotely be described as abusive messages and have certainly never ever sent any on this or any other site... I can't understand the need to send them, even in response to getting one, just block them.
Even should one get a simple "no thanks" then either don't reply and leave it at that or reply and thank them for their time and wish them well, I'll never understand the need to get abusive. |

I think I have had one abusive message, in the 2 and a half years I have been on here, for saying "no thank you". Had one almost begging and telling me I was for him, when I told him he wasn't for me. The only real abuse I've ever gotten was from other females, via status updates and messaging guys to tell them how disgusting I was and if they had met me they had no standards or if they had even only spoken to me they would not meet them. One used to pretty much message the nearest guys to her, that had met me in any capacity, to tell them that she would never meet them because they knew me |

I usually get abuse when I say No, sorry. Guys send a message giving me compliments liking my pics and profile, saying they tick all my boxes. But when I'm not interested then they suddenly change their tone and say I'm not their type.. Really? Lol |

In all the time I have been here I have only ever received real abusive messages from one guy and that was only last week. I didn't retaliate just answered ok or yes. Reported him! |
