if no kids concerned id say they are an EX for a reason. you have no further concerns regards their situation or anything that happens in their life so why on earth would you throw money at them .
if there are children involved then depends what money is for doesnt it. |

No you have to look after number one in this life, its a bit rude of her to say your mean. Though if my sons short of money because he has been spending too much, i give him some if i can afford too.  |

Definitely not! Having had a rotten experience with my ex over the last 10 months, as far as I'm concerned, if she wants extra money cos she's blown what I give her, then she's got plenty of other people to tap up. If my kids need something, then I either get it myself, or I make damn sure I see the receipt.. |

Looking at it from the other side. For me id feel id no right in asking. If it was just for me. But if it was for the kids then I would.
After my marriage failed. I didn't get any financial help for the first year. After the family home was sold. I got a small settlement . He does pay towards his daughters up keep now too. |
