Do you think that in any relationship there is one who loves and one who is loved ?
Is it true that the love that ones have for each other can't be equal?
Is there always one who loves more than the other ? |

I not sure it's as black and white as that, love isn't something you can measure.
It's an emotion and it's indescribable, it's also very personal so someone could love in a way which to them is all they can give and are capable of but if judged on actions and behaviour seems way less than their partner who is maybe only giving 50%. |

Doesn’t it simply change between the two people from day to day and experience to experience? That’s the beauty of love |

We have always joked about who loves each other most but at the end of the day we have loved each other enough to have been in love for 23years and it still grows believe it or not.

The younger woman that i once was who still believed in fairytales would have said no that's not true. |

No I don't think that in 'any' relationship there is one who loves and one who is loved although there are some relationships like that.
In many relationships the love people have for each other is equally as fierce but expressed differently.
There is not always one who loves more than the other but sometimes there is. |

1. Not necessarily.
2. No.
3. No. You'd have to be able to reliably measure it which I doubt is possible. If each loves the oth "enough", that's really all that matters. |

At the risk of being a little cynical, just how does one measure love, given or received.
I must have missed the announcement of that particular metric....
Surely, love just is. It doesnt count cost or measure itself on some scale of loveliness..... |

It has to be equal buddy , or it just become infatuation. Or unrequited which is never good ,
I think every one has been there at one time or another .
The important lesson it teaches , is how gently we move on and forward , how compassionate you can be to yourself .
If you figure that bit out, let me know how to do it .
For every thing else there is Rhyl |

Yeah it can be equal i think but we handle it differently so it may look like one does more than the other one could be more private than the other unless in there lovers presence |

I guess for it to last and succeed it has to be equal?... If its unequal then it will become unrequited, or potentially heart breaking and then you should probably walk away, if you can, to protect yourself!
I think the way people show love or think how love should be shown can be very different....doesn't mean it isn't equal though!
I'm not even sure that makes sense now I've written it down!!! Lol!! But hopefully you know what I mean!!

I think it’s fluid. That on any given day that one person might be feeling it more than the other. Maybe you could average those and say that one person loves the other more.
I think that some people are also more open or guarded about how they express their emotions which can make it appear that one is more in love than the other, but may not be true. |

Not something that can be measured precisely. Been together since we were 15 still both very happy enjoy each other’s company and love each other. Never wondered who loves who more. |

I dont think you can ever truly measure love, some prove it with what they do and others with words. It also depends on how often someone expresses it. In terms of one loving more, think this is where it becomes infatuation or one sided x |

It can't be measured. Perceptions are different. |

I agree. Some days you need more than you give. You just have a good foundation that’s always there.

What was going on late last night with you Rick? #deep
It's a really difficult question to answer because love can't be measured. I do think if you're really happy with someone then the love is equal. Ugh, I can't find the words to say what is making sense in my head. Screw you Rick! |

The will always be a giver and taker but what is taken or given have different emotional or society valve attached to it. Example one of the partners might love to hear words of encouragement and the other spend quality time. so the giver encourages and the taker hears what is the value of either on the "love scale"?
