"How many parents find themselves saying this on a regular basis ? What else do find yourself saying ?
Never, it's a stupid thing to say "
Why would you say that to your kids? |

I couldn't bring myself to say it to my lad. It was one of my mums favourite go to phrases and I honestly just thought she was "saying so" because she was being a bitch and had no real reason.
I pretty much explained my reasons for practically everything to my lad, and he rarely questioned me.
One thing I did find myself saying over and over was "why is there an empty bloody box in the cupboard, we have a bin, use it will ya"
Urgh.

Then I'm out. I got nothing. Distraction?
Get one of those big sticky boards, cover them in velcro and launch them at it?
