My husband doesn't wear his wedding ring to show he's owned. He wears it for the same reasons I do.. because we paid shit loads of money for them ..
Joking aside we had them made by a local lady and incorporated the gold from my grandmother's wedding ring.
I've never thought of its wearing as a symbol of ownership. We didn't even consider an engagement ring for hubby . I like the concept though. |

Owned I think not. That is a very offensive comment. We choose to wear our ring as a symbol of our commitment to each other. If I told maggie I own her because she has an engagement ring on the only thing I would expect is a smack in the mouth. |

I had one when I was engaged years ago and wore it with pride.
I however never got used to calling her my fiancee.
I sometimes got funny looks talking about my girlfriend when people had seen what looked like a wedding ring on my finger.  |

Gaffer tape is still a texture that can get caught in things, then the ring gets stuck....finger can get pulled off. |

I wore an engagement ring but due to the job had to take it off whilst working.
This I explained to my ex, was due to not wanting finger ripped off due to the ring getting caught.
I dont mind wearing them. |

New thoughts.
Is it they type of ring, or just any ring on the finger that shows it?
What if they just like having various types of rings on various fingers, would this make having a ring on the wedding finger (say a plane stainless ring) significant or just a ring?
