Gary Glitter's music was great.

I do a bit of DJing at parties.

I rarely play Gary Glitter as it can have mixed responses. Some love it but I did get a complaint once.

It's a shame. I don't see why that just because of what he got up to I can't play his music.

He was one of the best Glam Rock stars we had.

Not sure, i guess there were other band members to. Maybe he should donate any cash to orphanages in Thailand.

If people want to play his music in private that's their choice... I wouldn't give him the time of day

Agreed, there's plenty of other successful artists out there who had enough cash to make the problems go away. Seems hypocritical in a way.

What are you suggesting? That he shouldn't have been prosecuted because other men paid cash to make the problem go away. Gary Glitter was prolific in what he was doing and was still doing it in abroad at the time of his arrest. His crimes were sickening.

Not at all, just others paid for silence, or were ignored as they were too big to fall.

I saw GG on stage at Newcastle Arena many years ago, not the best singer but a great entertainer and very catchy hits.

He was supported by Suzy Quattro- very poor performance!

Shame about his crimes, all those old artists are all doing gigs again. I go to the Butlins adult music weekends and but for his history he’d probably have gone down a storm there

Music, is just that, music! The artist is secondary to the sound, they produced, if not deovorsced from it. A sound track of my youth, can’t be stripped away and hidden and tarnished. As it was the beating hart and our culture at the time. But they must never in the light of day, profit from it!!

I don't know why people are fretting Glitter doesn't own the rights, Label Snapper Music owns Glitter’s catalogue and they are not intending paying him anything.
