Oh God. I played warcraft for years. Even went to blizzcon. Yeah I dressed up kind of. I won money and made money on that fucking game. I even went to a fucking world championship lan event. To play that stupid game. I even blogged about it and made wiki articles they still fucking use.

I have not played it for 6 years now and dont care. But I do like looking at our old youtube videos and laughing. Yes I even did that shit.

I think if I added it up, roughly 6 months of my adult life is simply debating with my arena team about diminishing returns, haste percentages, and critical strike rates.

Went to MCM London Comic Con on Saturday and met George Perez, twice and Al Ewing whos Immortal Hulk run is one of the best things I've read. Hows that for nerd worship? Really into comics especially over the last couple of years. Behind on many stories such as Batman but almost got everything for the Absolute Carnage run, running out of money so have to put the last few tie ins on hold.

I'll know it when I find it.

Another ex WoWer here! I did cave after talking about it with a forumite and log back on for a bit but nope. Too addictive! I tend to stick to indie games or Dota. I love horror, sci-fi and fantasy (literature, shows and films) and also rediscovering cosplay. My absolute love is LotR though and various folklore and mythos; a childhood well spent means there's not much I don't know about quite a few different mythologies.

I return to wow now and again. I made some amazing friends through it who still play it (and some who don't). I've met up with them from all over the world.

I used to watch ST Next Generation. Some of the stories posed interesting philosophical, political and social justice questions. They didn't always give an easy answer.

You could see the program on different levels, like the Simpsons lol.

Which servers were you guys on? I dont miss the game but I still love talking about it. I was on Mal'ganis and Arthas. On the Arthas server in vanilla vanilla we would have huge battles in front of Ironforge and fight each other constantly which led to them creating arena pvp in burning crusade. I lived for Bgs and Arena and pulling world bosses into cities.

Nothing compares! As much as I like the modified versions like warcraft and warhammer, and their take on the fantasy genre, nothing will ever truely compete or be able to claim the influence that Tolkien had. It molded the whole genre. I don't think any other genre has such a paragon of influence.

LOVE nerd culture. Our name gives away my (her) biggest nerd obsession, but we also love cosplay, video games, comics, movies and much more. We enjoy visiting conventions too.

On top of that we run some pretty big nerd based pages and groups on social media with hundreds of thousands of followers bringing loads of other nerds together in one place. LOVE nerd/geek stuff xx
