I've often thought about this. I could, but if it ever got into a deep discussion, it would ruin it for me, as I'm pretty passionate on my stands.

Me and Ash are totally opposite sides and have very different views.

There's a lady here in the states who has it on her profile, "If you support _______, don't contact me". I would never do that. Politics needs to stay out of the fucking for fun arena.

All politics in the UK is fairly tame, debate sort of covers common ground. Any reasonable person should be able to debate within a UK framework without causing major argument.

Take that to some other European countries it's not so easy, nazi party competes with communist party in Austria. Both well supported and happy to shoot at each other in the streets from time to time.

So it's highly unlikely

Fair enough for those that it would never come up.

However if it came up that somebody was in support of the way lgbt are treated in russia, heavily support. Would you still get with them?

It is just as much of a political issue as it is a moral one. Political issues are much more broad than budgets and Brexit. Human rights ares political.

We actually enjoy it if we are of opposite views. Exploring ideas in a respectful manner can still be fun (less so in the bedroom). Of course, this implies a level of intellectual and emotional maturity. No matter what a person believes it is valuable as they as human beings are valuable. Even the most extreme views are held for a reason... value the person.

Maybe I'm just blessed but I have friends, clients and family with most political views under the sun and we're a passionate lot. Have friends, family and clients from a few different religious backgrounds and many different gender orientations and with absolutely no problems or worries in the slightest, actually I'd find the world an incredibly boring place if everyone thought the same as me!!

As said earlier ^^ been here years and never really talked out and out politics with anyone from fab because we have a much more fun based time with mainly laughter and great banter!

Many political issues would not affect the sexual relationship. However I am liberal and I believe in individual freedom and self-determination. So, if someone who has a public sexual minority status and insists that everyone should be "out" and "proud" with no respect to the will of someone else to live however they want, there is not going to be anything between us and of course the story will end there.

Political activism should never interfere with someone's private life. Group identity politics tend to sacrifice one's individuality and the activists of these groups try to impose their moral standards on others.

Generally people who are devoted to any kind of group identity politics are not for me.

Lol but a large proportion of Tories actually voted to remain it was the all the rest who voted to leave. Only number members of the Tory party are brexitiers. Most of the labour party voted to remain but their members voted to leave which showed a disconnect between the labour party and their members. So by all means cuff and fuck brexiteer but high probability (majority) wouldn't be Tory unless you gave a particular thing for Tories

Sex is better, I think, if there is a mental connection, but if it’s a quick meet and lots of lust, then political views can be irrelevant.

But getting to know and like someone, the size of the barrier to developing feelings for them would be reflected by the importance of the issue to me. So I could probably live with someone who was a brexiteer even though I’m a remainer. Trump supporter? Mmmm probably not. Could I live with a homophobe, racist or god botherer? Hell no!

Costa Blanca Spain...

Reminds me of an old joke.

There was a couple who were complete opposites. She was true blue Tory and he as life long Labour.

On a night out they had a blazing row. He was slagging off Johnson and she the same to Corbyn.

They ended up at home in bed, back to back, and not talking.

After a while she fancied some sex and said:

"If the Labour member would like to stand, he would get in very easily".

To which he replied:

"Too late. He's just stood as an independent and lost his deposit".
