100%
Easily my greatest accomplishment!
Of all the names and nicknames I have been called over the years, "Daddy" is by far my favourite. |

Not a single dad, but i am a full time dad. Simple as my wife is lets say more employable than i am. Better qualifications, experience etc. Stay at home dad suits me fine. I get to have the most important job in the world, looking after my children. |

I struggle with the issue of whether or not I put it on my profile. Whilst it explains why I cant accommodate, it also made look like a plea for sympathy... as possibly will this reply.
I don't want sympathy, I just don't want to be judged as being a liar or a chest. |

I whole heartedly applaude any single parent..trying to juggle work, kids, trying to have a relationship.
I sometimes wish I was a full time single parent rather than trying to co-parent with my soon to be ex.

I love everyone for giving respect to all single parents. I'm tired of seeing single dads called heroes and single mums called benefit whores. High five to anyone who puts their children first be they male, female, single or otherwise. I'm watching Gavin and Stacey with my 17 year old atm and seeing him laugh is still the best thing in the history of best things ever in the whole world |

Wouldnt change it for the world. Of course theres always gonna be testing times. But i find myself very lucky to have a fantastic set of kids. Never really had any trouble with any of them. They are respectful and thats all i aimed for. |

Not sure about the benefit whore thing - but I remember when my oldest was a little girl - and I was a single parent for the first time - there were loads of single mums at the school and only one single dad! The single mums were expected to be pretty much perfect and received scathing criticism if we ever let any standards slip - even from the other single mums!
The single dad - on the other hand - got his daughter to school every day but that’s about it! Both were unwashed and unkempt - she was rarely in the correct uniform - yet he got lots of help and praise and no criticism! He was, apparently, a hero for managing to keep his daughter alive and at school!
Tbh it used to really piss me off!! |

What bugs me is the judgement solely of the woman. I saw a sickening post a couple of days ago on a thread about things you see on dating sites that mentioned a "morbidly obese mum of five looking for a wealthy guy with no children." Well why would she need money? Surely whoever fathered these five children has stepped up to provide for them because he's a man and therefore perfect? No? Yeah didn't think so... |

"Shout out to parents who co-parent too! I think we could all slag off the ex partner but sometimes praise is warranted if the children are put 1st!"
This. While we don't always get on he's a good father and has provided above and beyond for our son. They have a great relationship and that's all I wanted for both of them. |

I'm a dad to a 3 year old that lives with her mom, my ex. First and foremost, she is the most amazing mother to our daughter. Lucky enough for us when we split we got over all that drama and over time realised our daughters needs were all that mattered really. The shit thing is that my ex lives half way across the country so I travel a 6 hour round trip to see my little girl on Saturdays.During the week we video chat etc. Then every few weeks she comes and spends a 3 day weekend with me. Christmas eve I go and stay in my exs house so I'm there for santa and Christmas morning. We make it work as best we can I guess. That's all anyone can do. My partner and my ex get on as do families etc so that does make things easier. |

I think deep down it's what we all want! I think it's a very noble feat that you can praise your ex partner (even if they are hated!) |

As long as you're the bigger person it all works itself out, kids are resilient and they'll see the traits of a narcissist as they mature. Keep your head high and be the best mum you can be! |

High five to all single parents boy single dads and single mums! Hardest, most stressful, most frustrating sometimes upsetting jobs of all time! But with the comes the the most rewarding job of all that fills me with pride and love and would not change it for anything! Also a shout out to them dads who don't get a chance due to women playing God with kids and also them women who have to cope because the men don't want to know! Big love for you all x

It gets better and better though. I do miss the little man with his pumpkin face. But now I've got this towering young man that I can watch films and comedy with and who makes me weep laughing and explains things to me He's 17 and my parents still bought him a chocolate advent calendar. It's a malteasers one and cos he knows just how much his mum loves "small geezers" he's sharing it with me. He gave me it yesterday and said its your turn today. It's heart melting stuff. |

"Big shout out to my fellow single dads....
I’m lucky enough to be a full time dad to my 2 amazing kids... don’t have endless amounts of time for meets and right now get into a serious relationship is a no go but fab and friends on here have been a great go too for total distraction!!
So how many single dads are on here??
Single dad of two, here! Like you a full time with my boys - wouldn’t have it any other way! "
Seems like there’s more single dads on here than I originally thought |

Thanks mate, same back at you.
Not the easiest thing been a single parent, working full time and trying to balance a home life with a least giving yourself some chance of a personal life.
But would I change it?
Of course but only if it made our lives and most importantly my kids life better.
Merry Xmas and a Happier New Year to you all the single parents out there. |
