To be honest Prince Phillip an be a bit of a pompous git! But he is getting real old now and life catches up with us all in time.
I doubt he has many more years left in him now and will pop his clogs one day but he has had a good innings |

"What's up with him can't stand the man but hope he's OK."
They have to replace his organs with ones stolen from orphans every December, just so he has enough energy to get through the entirety of the Queen’s speech... |

And to add to this he served during WWII, a bit of respect wouldn’t go amiss |

I was going to say something about this myself.
I don't know the man all I know is what the news tells us.
But he's a human being and makes mistakes like us all.
He done a lot of more good in his life then most people.
And here's the thing the man cannot win.
He married the Queen
Anything he does upsets someone.
He could give money away someone would say he only did it to look good.
There's so much hate on here for a man no one knows.
And it upsets me. That someone can hate a person because he has his whole life in the public domain and any human mistakes he makes people hate him |

He’s spent his whole life under scrutiny.
And served.
Let’s see your average Z lister pop/reality/soap star do half as well.
He’s an old git but look past the gaffs and he’s done a fair bit of good. |

It does sound like there's a few people on here does.
Saying that you can't stand a person if you have never meet that person is not really a nice thing to say
Or saying the devil takes his own is hateful in my book.

Ah! something he knows a lot about....
"How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to get them through the test?" (to a driving instructor in Oban, Scotland, during a 1995 walkabout).
"Bloody silly fool!" (in 1997, referring to a Cambridge University car park attendant who did not recognise him).
"It looks as if it was put in by an Indian." (pointing at an old-fashioned fusebox in a factory near Edinburgh in 1999).
"Deaf? If you are near there, no wonder you are deaf." (to young deaf people in Cardiff, in 1999, referring to a school's steel band).
"You are a woman, aren't you?"(In Kenya, in 1984, after accepting a small gift from a local woman).
"If you stay here much longer, you'll all be slitty-eyed." (to British students in China, during the 1986 state visit).
In Germany, in 1997, he welcomed German Chancellor Helmut Kohl at a trade fair as "Reichskanzler" - the last German leader who used the title was Adolf Hitler.
"Do you still throw spears at each other?" (In Australia in 2002 talking to a successful aborigine entrepreneur).
"There's a lot of your family in tonight." (after looking at the name badge of businessman Atul Patel at a Palace reception for British Indians in October 2009).
"I hope he breaks his bloody neck." (when a photographer covering a royal visit to India fell out of a tree)
“People usually say that after a fire it is water damage that is the worst. We are still drying out Windsor Castle.” To survivors of the Lockerbie bombings in 1993.
“And what exotic part of the world do you come from?” Asked in 1999 of Tory politician Lord Taylor of Warwick, whose parents are Jamaican. He replied: “Birmingham.”
“Do people trip over you?” Meeting a wheelchair-bound nursing-home resident in 2002.
While he might think he's being funny, he's effectively being paid by us to be a figurehead and international representitive of the country- most of us 'commoners' would be sacked for just one of the above. |

"He's in hospital before Christmas again. He always seems to pull through but that can't go on forever.
I wonder how many re-writes the Queen's Speech has had this year?"
I would imagine several. It's sad for families with folk in hospital at this time of year |

I just think he hates Christmas & all the family round with their siblings just fucks him off.
They say he’s in the hospital but he’s probably somewhere in the sun relaxing with his feet up.
My Nan used to do the same & buggered off to Cyprus for a month every Christmas/New Year.

In this anodyne,pc world of today where nobody is allowed to have an opinion,it's quite refreshing to have a prominent public figure who speaks with very little filter!
I'm by no means a royalist but the past 70-ish years,he's been a constant support for the Queen. She gets the rock star treatment but they've always been pretty much a double act and I'm sure Brenda listens to him a lot more than she does the here today ,gone tomorrow politicians that she has to deal with |

Lizzie and him do far too much work and probably dont look after their health properly either.
All royals do far too much work and then with a poor diet and eating shit food it finally ends in bad health.
Hope he dosent have to wait too long at the hospital and gets a bed before Monday or Tuesday.
He is probably fighting with the doctors and nurses as we speak to get back to the grindstone.
He will be stressed over randy andy. At least he didnt allow himself or lord louis to get caught.... |
