Also that in all the episodes of Star Trek they never left the Milky Way as Roddenberry knew the distances involved made it impossible.

And that when you watch the sun setting over the horizon, you're not, and have missed it.

So therefore the Millennium Falcon must be much slower than the Enterprise, right?

I know, those pesky stars kept on disappearing and new ones started, I lost count after 12 years so had to start all over again.

I'm starting on the sand grains tomorrow, I'll start with Southport beach

Looking up certainly puts a different perspective on things We have the deep field poster framed on a wall.

A couple of YouTube vids are good too, one of the respective sizes of the planets/sun then going up to the supergiants out there. Mind blowing!

The other starts on our solar system & keeps panning out to the whole known universe (from memory).

Perspective of our own importance & significance in the whole scheme of things can be very cathartic...

When you look up at the stars some of the light you see left that sun when the dinosaurs were still on Earth...

Nah I don't think that's it. From what I remember it's to do with the curvature of the earth and certain rays of light on thee spectrum. Or something. And what we're seeing is essentially an optical illusion/phenomenon of what's happened a few minutes before.

It made sense at the time..

When you look up with the naked eye every single thing with one exception (if you’ve 20/20 & know where to look) is in the Milky Way & all of it with the exception of our local group of planets is another Sun with its own planets orbiting it...

And there are still people out there that say aliens don’t exist.

No. I get your logic. But this is taking that into account. Its a mirage to do with the light from the sun in those moments hitting our part of the earth at a shallow angle combined with air pressure making the light bend.

Yes and around those stars there are planets, so just imagine the posibilities of there being another planet with life on it.. Considering our sun is an average star.
