Must admit he wasnt a big favourite of mine to start with, but the more I watched him, the more I got to like him.

He does a lot of documentaries now on engineering and stuff.... and I have to say I'm a big fan.

Better dead than smeg.

Which reminds me, I got a official Red Dwarf t-shirt which must be a mis-print, cos it says "Better smeg than dead".

Must go dig it out.

erm....sorry but the last 2 series were smeg! and that special they did was awful.

started going down when they got big budgets, got rid of the holly prologue (to me, thats the sign of when red dwarf was good) and introduced too many people into it.

loved the first 2 series as it had that very cheap feel that was like the good sitcoms of yesteryear.

when they changed holly to hilly (yet still called her holly, and didnt explain why it had changed) it was fcuked for me, altohugh i still watched it as i was loyal to the series, and there were a few funny little bits.

so, to sum up, IF they have killed off the crew of red dwarf AGAIN and it goes back to how it was, i will watch it with all the joy i had when it started.

i would LOVE for the new series to be getting back to earth, all alone, and trying to find another female to jumpstart the human race again, but i jsut have a horrible feeling its not.

its going to be the same tired formula the last 2 series followed

Oh I can't wait, absolutely loved Red Dwarf, though I admit that the first couple of series were the best.

My fave is Kryten

i think it was a huge stroke of luck that the original actor that did Kryten when he was first introduced, was unable to do the 2nd series, as Rob llewelin has made the role his own.

found th eoriginal portrayal of him as a little whiney and annoying, imo.

hated the new Kechanski(sp) also. much preferred when she was played by htat bit out of altered image. lol

First 4 series were outstanding, it leveled off at series 5 and then things went down hill very quickly after that, though 'RimmerWorld' is pure, unadulterated genius!.....

"Has anybody got a popadom the size of lake michigan?"

"Of course, Larger, the only thing that can kill a vindaloo!"

It will be reruns every night now in anticipation. As long as he doesn't start singing the songs again.
