Oh my god I remember having one of those Tigra convertibles when they first came out, had to hold your finger on the boot button for it to close, people used to try and slam it shut and I’d be like noooo, then standing there like a dick with your finger on the button! |

"The company I work used to do all the customer feedback for Jaguar Land Rover.....don't buy one was the bottom line"
Hmmm I just read a write up after a test drive and though the specs leave me mystified their bottom line was , 'late in production and poorly put together with tick tacky breaks and a poor interior for a £75K car' .... |

"Cost to make £1800, cost to customer £75000.
On the flip side BMW and Merc build costs are only £1350 per unit. "
What a load of bull£&@“ they don’t cost £1800 to make and they certainly don’t retail at £75K. Your lucky to get one for around the £114K mark. |

Not rubbish at all, worked their for 10 years, it's not even something that's secret. Every year they have town hall meetings for all employees and they quote the build costs and tell everybody they need to be more competitive and get costs down closer to our german competitors. The figures quoted where correct as of 2018. |

So it’s only got £1,800 worth of metal and leather and plastic and glass and whatever else is in there to make? |

Absolutely rubbish. Ive worked within the car industry, the certain brand i worked for 46 units per hour rolled off production line.
£28 per hour for each of the 1300 staff that were online at any one time (not including management) £28x1300=£36,400 ÷ 46= £790 per unit in assembly manhour costs alone then add parts cost engine build cost, transport costs, wiring harness build costs, interior trim costs... so on and so on |

I was alongside a Tesla today at a set of lights.
Man those things can shift!
Took off like a bat out of hell!
Not a big fan of the models currently on offer, but they certainly appeal to me in terms of performance.
Now if I could just get something with that technology that resembles a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6..... |
