Manchester Lounge Intimate Get Together.

I was tired of thinking of it just being an idea…. So I booked a room

Hopefully you will join Myself and RedDanger and many others thinking it’s a good idea.

The date is SATURDAY 3rd JUNE in central MANCHESTER. Venue details will be sent to those on the list. Obviously the venue has a limited room capacity, and places will fill fast. Please pm me or Red if you’d like to put your name down.

(There maybe have to be a reserved list but we are playing this by ear)

As this is a none profit social, We will be having a raffle to hopefully try to cover the cost of the room and any extra will be given to a charity chosen closer to the date. But NO entry fee.

(The raffle is entirely optional)

Any questions about this social, or show of interest, this is the thread to do so.

It will be mixed I think.

We kind of hope a lot of people who post in the lounge forum would want to put their names down, simply because we all mostly converse with each other on FAB already, (myself and RedforDanger included), and will have lots of people they’d like to meet up with, hence the name. The numbers will not be in the hundreds, but a mix of couples/males/women.

There is also good public transport links to East and West Didsbury and Stockport that run regularly all night, with bus fares capped to £2, so it could be worth looking further out of town?

If you don't have a million offers already I'm heading to the social and live in Manchester. So if you need somewhere feel free to crash at mine. Although I do plan on having a few cocktails so I can't promise I'll be able to make breakfast the next morning

"Manchester Lounge Intimate Get Together.

I was tired of thinking of it just being an idea…. So I booked a room

Hopefully you will join Myself and RedDanger and many others thinking it’s a good idea.

(There maybe have to be a reserved list but we are playing this by ear)

As this is a none profit social, We will be having a raffle to hopefully try to cover the cost of the room and any extra will be given to a charity chosen closer to the date. But NO entry fee.

(The raffle is entirely optional)

The Britannia in Stockport is a doss house, I'm not being overly harsh because it's my old home town but I expect at a minimum for radiator pipes not to leak on the carpet, no bare wires near the plugs or years of mould on the bathroom silicone. I'd rather spend £200 on the Travel Lodge next to the venue. Plus, creature comforts of being in the middle of the action.

If you can't get an Air BnB at a reasonable price check out the Travelodge in Didsbury or Stockport, Holiday Inn Express at Stockport Station and Premier Inn at Stockport South. All looking to be £100 cheaper than Central Manchester. All good public transport links or pretty cheap Uber.

Bury is 30 mins tram ride away. Prestwich is in the Tramline too. Both have hotels nearby the tram stops.
