It’s an intimate get together!…

THE LIST IS FULL
The date is SATURDAY 3rd JUNE in central MANCHESTER. Venue details will be sent to those on the list closer to the date, if you already messaged before the 1st thread closed, you would have had a message from myself or RedforDanger confirming. (The venue has a limited room capacity,
(There is a small reserve list and if you wish to still post that you’d like to come, maybe there is room if people cancel)

Okay. The room that is booked had a limit, and we reached it. But some people have requested to let them know if places become available if anyone cancels along the way. So we do have a small second list so to speak.

UPDATE -
I never assumed the numbers would reach the limit, but it did, so we started putting peoples names down for if places became available. A reserve list.
The RESERVE is now FULL. Wow, thank you everyone who said they will come along, there’s lots of names I recognise and it will be a lot of fun for us all.

Not sure of your budget but Oddfellows on the Park is boutique and has rooms around £250 but would be around 20 minutes and £25 in a taxi.
Holiday Inn Express Stockport is opposite Stockport Station has rooms for around £150 and is a 10 min train journey. £2 on the 192 nightbus or again around £25 taxi.
Premier Inn Stockport South is also on the 192 route and rooms for £100. |

This date is getting closer each day
Nows the time to start making sure that hotel is booked or your travel arrangements are on point. If not….
PLEASE give us as much notice for a cancellation as you can. There are limited numbers for this venue and other people could take your place if you sadly can’t make it.

Thank you everyone that’s got their name down and have said they would like to come to this Forum Social on 3 June in Manchester.
**I’m now asking EVERYONE who has already been confirmed by either myself or RedforDanger to please DM ME (woodyb) direct as RedforDanger has other commitments and is still attending but has passed the list to myself to take care of. **
**Please please please - IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND, let me know, there is a waiting list of people that have asked and may be able to fill a slot….(don’t be rude haha).
I will be sending out a DM some time before and another very close to the date for ABSOLUTE CONFIRMATIONS. If that is not replied to, I assume people no longer are in the forums or fab and are not attending. I think this is fair. (There’s evidence some people just don’t come on Fab anymore)

I CANNOT FIND 9 profiles that I have on a guest list ??? Unlos ???
So anyone I haven’t been able to, because of things out of my control, I post it here. It’s the best thing I can do.
——I’m sending this DM because you had shown interest some time ago for attending this social in Manchester on the 3rd June, either to myself, RedforDamger or in the thread itself.
It’s now only 2 months away, I know, time moves so fast!
I asked on the continued thread for people to confirm they are still coming, but I had very minimal confirmations.
Please reply to this DM (Woody B) and confirm or cancel, it’s a great help for me to know how many will be there,
I will have to assume you are no longer interested or no longer active on FAB if I don’t here from you. I hope you understand as there are others that have been told there’s no room on the list.

*The venue /room for the social is in central Manchester. I will send out the address the week before to all that have confirmed. Trains, busses and tram are all a short walk to it. |

For those who are driving, not sure how you feel about car share.
Last social I attended, I was driving so gave a few people a lift to hotels just outside the centre.
There are various within a short drive for £80-100 depending on which way your driving home or to a nearby hotel.
Central hotels will be double that easily.
Alternatively look at aparthotels where you can get 5-6 people apartments with 2-3 bedrooms, and split the cost. |

The Village Hotels have "Double Double" rooms available for about £130-140, that's 2 king-size beds in 1 room, so for those playing. You could push both beds together and have 4+ people or you could room share, 2 couples. They are
about 20-25 minutes drive, prob be similar to Beefs £25 or so taxi price point.

I'm not sure where the venue is, I would probably park near Bunny Jackson's / Q Park on First Street.

It's £18 for 24 hours (£16 with the app), it's pretty secure too, big auto metal gates in and out so low risk of card walking, tonnes of cameras, valid parking ticket to get in on foot too, and plenty of space at the sides of your car too.
It's about 5 min walk Manchester Central Centre, about 10 mins stroll to the village (over the bridge, out by rain bar, up into Portland (by the Genting) is about 5-7 minutes.
So if you arrive at 2pm you have until 2pm Sunday pretty secure for £16 (with app) |

At this time, all I can do is apologise for failing to keep in communication with yourself.
With the 100s of messeges I received I would normally account for a small percentage of mistakes to happen, and unfortunately this mistake happened to yourself.
However, you can see the problem was solved swiftly, and thanks to you making me aware of this, process has been put in place for it not to happen to others in the future.
