Hi everyone,
I’m quite new to the party scene and I’ve never arranged anything like this before but I’m thinking about organising a swinging party on 4th April.
I wanted to start this thread to see if there would be any interest, and also to get some advice from people who have organised or attended similar events before.
I’d really appreciate thoughts on things like:
How to organise it properly?
how to make everyone feel safe and comfortable?
Any rules or boundaries that should be clear from the start?
What usually makes an event enjoyable and respectful for everyone
I’m open to ideas and would love to hear from anyone who might be interested or willing to share advice. As I’m new to arranging this, any guidance would be really appreciated. |

"I reckon it will be more hassle than its worth "
If wanting to do it properly not got a hope in time for then. Its difficult enough getting on the same page as someone for a social within 2 weeks. Lots of work needed. |

I organised many parties over the years. It is much more difficult for a single man to organise. Expect last minute call offs and no-shows. I did have a great group of regulars and built up a nice network of great people. But it could be stressful, especially a couple of times when I had a slew of last minute drop outs. But good luck and enjoy. |

We'd be interested in a party but I rarely have Sundays off so Saturday nights are difficult. I'm off next Sunday but we're at CJs Easter party on the Saturday. If you do one on a Friday we'd most likely be available |

I am looking for interested people and organise if I have enough interest. The plan is to build a community for regular parties. |

I remember over 10 years ago there were a couple of guys that would organise their own group meets, of course that was when this place was less publicised and had fewer fakes. They said that a rule of thumb was that around a third of the people will drop out on the day. Once they had had a few group meets, they got to know a selection of profiles that they could trust and were more reliable.
I’m sure it’s time consuming and more difficult to do now with the amount of publicity this site has had. I’ve never had the space to hold any group meets unfortunately, and the people that organised them left quite some time ago before I had a long break away myself.
I would be someone that would be interested if you were able to sort something out though. |

I’ve tried to organise a couple (all guys) and it’s a lot of work. I’d say more than half dropped out and that’s after a first sift.
I am going to try and organise something again but I’d like to build up some contacts and a group of people who i know are reliable. |
