Cambridge social for newbies

Hi there guys and girls.

I'm not sure about other members to this site experiences, but I feel that this can often be quite a difficult site to navigate for the newbies amongst us.

I'm not the biggest fan of directly dropping into someone's inbox and when I do, there is often no reply.. probably due to there being an overwhelming amount of horny guys trying to get laid!

I'm a little more old school and prefer to meet people in the flesh. That being said, the reason we're on here is because we have a shared interest in sins of the flesh.. right?!

I can't see any groups in the area or socials being advertised. I'm hoping that there may be enough appetite in order that it might be worth organising something to bring some people together and make some propper introductions.

Would love to hear from you guys as to whether this sounds like there'd be appetite for this to happen.

Doesn't necessarily mean that hard core lifers would be excluded, rather just a fun evening for people who are new-ish to the scene to feel comfortable around.

Dan

OP, just a slight tip- you need to have a think about what ratio of men to women and couples you'd be prepared to keep, unless you're just looking at inviting anyone who'd like to come. However, be prepared that you'd be getting questions regarding the ratio, and you will have people dropping out when they decide the ratio is not what they're after.

There will always be more men interested than women and couples, and many men would not commit to anything, or just wouldn't turn up. It's a lot of work, organising a social, with a lot of "silly" questions, but can be fun, too.

Thanks for the heads up Miss Devil.

Yea I get that there is potential for something like this to be a total cock fest.

I don't see anything like this around this area though.

I'm more than happy to organise something if there are enough people and a good ratio to make it work.

Meeting people off this site can be quite hit and miss. Might be a good opportunity to get to know some new interesting people this way.

Also.. don't think there's such thing as a silly question... is there? 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure there was St Neots social/pineapple social organised before, not sure if still happening.

And sadly, yes, there are "silly" questions, like "how many women are going to be there?" - don't know, have that many on the list, can't say if all are going to turn up.

"Can I play there?"- no, it's clearly a social, in a public space. So no, you can't play there.

Those are just a couple of examples I remember.

Sounds like I just need to be clear on the instructions.

Appreciate the heads up!

Do people usually just go to bars or hire out some where as a private party?

I’ve heard it’s a bit of both but private party sounds interesting
