Hi all.
We have been in talks with the manager of a bar, which has a private room for functions. And he has said yes to holding a regular social party for us on here. It will be a all ticket invite and price will be low too, just to cover cost of a buffet, and DJ.
All we need is for you sexy swingers to have enough interest in coming so we can have right amount of numbers of singles and couples. All will be welcome too. We just need the interest. As we see there is hardly any social parties in Doncaster. And we would like to make a change and have one every 2 months if not every month.
So if your up for it comment and let's us know.

Try putting a potential date and see how that goes for attendance least that way you got a good idea on spending, you dont need to put on a buffet that will cut down on expense then if enough intersted book it x hope you do one we seem to be dwindling on organised social events x |

Definitely Doncaster need a social again as the others have stopped so long as you can still chat over the music lol I would love to attend and also here in Conisborough I’ll have two spare rooms available so folks could save some pennies on booking hotels |

Ok so we have just been give the capacity of the room. And it holds upto 60 people. So far we have 25 interested. So we need at least 40 certainties that will be attending to make this a very good social party.
Plus entry fee will include a raffle as well.
As this is our first party we are holding. So please bear with us while we sort it all out.
We shall be sitting down with the bar manager tomorrow to work out how much a package will be then the price of tickets will be posted.
If you know anyone interested in going then please drop us a message. And post in the forum too.

we have just had it confirmed 28th of march Doncaster Social party. invites will be sent out via message from us. entry fee will be £5 per person.
there will be a big raffle prize and the 1 male prize and 1 female prize.
also a finger buffet and DJ.
get your names down. also would like to ask for entry to be paid up front to guarentee entry and securty.
all detail will be sent via message.
so book the 28th/29th off and come along.
need at least 25 people to attend ther wise the date will be pushed back. |

Ok guys n gals. Need numbers for our first Doncaster Social party. We need to know who is going by the 14th of this month. Then message will be sent out to those who have their name down... With details on how to pay and a reference number for entry.
28th is a certainty depending on final numbers. Once all is confirmed payment must reach us by the following Saturday which is the 21st.
Hope we can make this happen as it will be the first of many and we want to make it a success.

I'm sorry but we won't be attending. Of all the group socials we've been to, we've never been asked to pay upfront, especially when you're saying the date "is a certainty, depending on numbers" so we could pay only for the date to be changed due to lack of numbers. |

Cancelled due to lack of trust. As we are no prepared to fund the raffle prizes nor the hire of the room and everything else, just for everyone to say they are coming then not turn up and leave us out of pocket. It's our first time holding and just don't want to risk been out of pocket.
We got a fantastic deal off the bar manager. That if it was a success, we could hire the room for free to hold future events.
Also had vouchers and prizes on order from Ann summers and Lovehoney. Just needed to pay hence pay upfront for tickets.
As this is a public pub with a private back room but tickets is to make sure no unotharized entry was gained by the public.
This was a genuine social party and a all ticket party.
Sorry but we shall be ditching any further plans to arrange anymore.

I’ve been to many of these events where I’ve had to pay up front. I don’t see the problem. |

Wow is this really cancelled so soon after announcing a ticket price, because of one couple?
I know how much goes into hosting an event. I don't have time myself, so appreciate the efforts people like yourself go to OP.

I think maybe set a longer timescale to organise as people need to read the forums etc and 25 is not enough people.
OP I wouldn’t cancel because of a couple of negative replies. If they don’t want to pay up front then they don’t attend, there are plenty of others that will pay. |

Why leave a reason on the thread why you aren’t going? If you don’t want spend £5 up front then pass the thread by. OP has now cancelled the event after the comment so a lot of disappointed people that were hoping to go will now not be able to go.

Surely for the event to be a success, the organisers maybe need to come to terms with the fact that the arrangements may not suit everyone, which is fine.
Spitting their dummy out and cancelling their plans because 2 couples don't want to pay upfront seems silly. |

Well I attended the Leeds social on Saturday where 150 people paid up front with no issues and I believe there were 30 people on the reserve list.
Unsure if you’ve ever organised an event but venues need deposits to secure bookings and caterers need deposits to secure bookings. Prizes need to be bought so I’m unsure how paying on the door would work! |

FYI. we are not prepared to make it pay on the night and put names down on the list for you not to turn up and then leave us out of pocket. The reason why tickets are to be purchased in advance is to guarantee numbers and also a successful evening. But when one says something it's normally the rest follows. That might not be the case for some but it's our first social party and if it was a success then future events could have been pay in the night. |

Just my opinion but it seems to me that most people would have been happy to pay in advance and only 2 weren't happy about it (and that's their prerogative) I guess what I'm trying to say is maybe you were a little hasty in cancelling the whole thing but again (that's your prerogative) I could even begin to imagine the work and stress that goes into organising a social. |

If there is still interest and more than 25 are interested then it might still go ahead. Those that have said that they are not willing to pay up have been taken off the list will will be posted next. |

Done this. Hopefully will get more. And create a reserve list too. As don't want to be out numbered with single males to everyone else. So would like a variety of guest. But everyone is welcome |

You're more than welcome, socials dont happen by accident, there always someone behind the scenes paddling away making it happen, and if you look at other successful socials the key is publicity, we want the social to happen so it's only fair that we do our bit to promote it and get the numbers interested |

All names going down on lists today. Bear with us we have had a hectic weekend Steve has been working none stop since 6pm Friday evening. New provisional lists will be posted soon as we get a few hours to do the list. But all names are going on the list who said they are going and are interested. |

The list of guests and the reserve list will be published on Friday. Due to high work demands we have been unable to get on and sort it out.
Don't worry tho, the social party is still on and that's 100% guarantee. As there is loads of interest.
Also ticket information will be sent to those on the list. Don't forget that it is £5 per person AND NOT per profile....

The reserve list is for single males. As there are more of them and need to even it out. |

That's a shit move, I guess all anyone can do is but a little bit of trust in the organisers (difficult when you've been bitten before I know, but not everyone is bad) and to be fair other than travel expenses etc it's a fiver so it's not bank breaking. |

We shall be keeping people updated. Plus payment details for the tickets will be sent out on Friday evening. Just so we know if the party is still happening.
So we shall hold off everything till next weekend. Just to see what the government is going to do. X |

Hi everyone.
It's with a heavy heart that we have had to cancel the social for the 28th. The government updates are recommending that in order to contain and avoid the spread of the coronavirus, people should avoid mass gatherings such as sports events, theatre, bars, restaurants etc.
A new date for the social will be announced once this pandemic passes and everyone on the guest list for this one will be added to the new date unless unable to attend.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this causes.
Stay safe and be vigilent and I look forward to seeing you very soon xx |
