Lots of people like to mark a thread (storys and fantasies) so they can go back to it when it's updated, normally using an emoji.
However , there may be only 5 or 6 really meaty posts that are why people want to see it.
When you post an emoji it consumes a message up to the 175 maximum.
Can the Like thumb 👍 be used to count onto your "recent threads you've posted to"?
That leaves the written comments to be more meaningful, and give a more active thread, while letting people follow it without message blocking the thread .
Hope this makes sense..if not I'll try to clarify

It does make sense. I do sometimes read stories and notice loads of thumbs up emojis that fill the thread.
It is nice to acknowledge a thanks but do wonder if there was another way.
Having said that, there actually is a way...at the bottom of each post there's a thumb up or down thing to click, but people don't seem to use it much. |

Yes i see that. However it doesnt trigger that it's a thread you've posted to.
You obviously have written so it shows by that method.
Pick a different thread and test it with a like. It won't pop up as a posted to thread |

Yes I think you're right. But, if it did, then people might register vote on original post but not clog up thread with big column of emoji.
In the end it doesn't really matter, and storyteller might like to see a big column of thumbs ups.

The thumbs up and down is a fairly new addition and is not searchable.
People use an emoji because that counts on the "forum threads you have posted on" so you can find your way back to that thread later. |
