Given the wide range of people and backgrounds on here I’m sure we do indeed have quite a few knowledgeable people on FAB.

Variable fields maybe but certainly knowledge.

Should be a fair few builders looking at some of the pictures we receive!

Newcastle and Gateshead

it was a labour amendment to implement phase 1 of the Grenfell Inquiry recommendations in full as part of the fire safety bill that was defeated....

not sure as to why.... it may be that the government decide to do it after phase 2 is completed...

Because Labour tried to sieze the political initiative on this, knowing full well that the Goverment was still in detailed talks.

it has been a long time since the fire, no one has been charged with corporate manslaughter, no legislation on fire safety, no compulsory sprinklers just the usual exploitation of tenants

Eastbourne

A mate is selling his flat with the grenfell cladding on it, he got a letter stating that it could be from £70.000 to remove and replace the cladding to his flat.

Considering how many flats are in his block, that is a lot of cash everyone has to pay.

He has found out that he can't sell his house, as the mortgage companies have valued it at £0.
